In the realm of mental health, I am continually humbled by the resilience of those I serve. Their stories are not just tales of struggle but testaments to the enduring power of the human heart to mend and grow, to transform pain into purpose, and to find light in the darkest of places.
Chief Clinical Officer
I see adult patients and am licensed to work in a variety of treatment areas including mental health and family medicine.
Professional Experience
Meghan is the Chief Clinical Officer of Midwest Alternative Treatment Clinic. Prior to joining Midwest Alternative Treatment Clinic as a ketamine provider, Meghan has over 11 years of experience working with children and adults in the emergency room setting struggling with physical and mental health issues. She has experience working for a queer affirming private practice supporting individuals struggling with their mental health, gender identity issues, religious trauma, and intersectionality.
Philosophy
As a practitioner, I utilize evidence-based practices that have been shown to be effective through scientific research. This includes using therapies and interventions with demonstrated efficacy and regularly evaluating outcomes. By collaborating between mental health professionals, primary care providers, and specialists I strive for integration amongst healthcare providers in order to provide a more coordinated and comprehensive approach, particularly for individuals with comorbid physical and mental health conditions.
Creating a safe and comfortable environment for patients to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of patients in my care is of the utmost importance to me as a ketamine provider and the clinic as a whole. Creating this supportive environment and assisting in establishing a positive mindset, can aid in processing and integrating a patient’s experience and can ultimately lead to improved outcomes and personal well-being.

It is our goal to provide individualized quality care to each patient we serve. Therefore, contacting the office for a free consultation to see if we are the right fit for you and to schedule an intake appointment will be your first step.
You will be provided with access to our patient portal, Osmind. Osmind will further support your needs and provide MATC with insights into your treatment progression. You may also utilize the message center to communicate effectively with your team.
Every new patient will start with an initial psychiatric evaluation appointment. This appointment includes review of intake documents prior to your visit, a thorough bio-psycho-social assessment and development of treatment plan.
Based on that data and your current health status, the decision will be made whether you would benefit from taking psychiatric medication or not. If yes, you will be prescribed a specific medication depending on your mental health issue
Once you start taking the prescribed drugs, it’s crucial to observe your bodily reactions as well as your emotions, thoughts, and mood levels. It is not uncommon to make adjustments while finding the best fit for you.
Psychiatric medication management involves the careful assessment, prescription, and monitoring of medications used to treat mental health conditions. A clinician evaluates symptoms, diagnoses disorders, and adjusts medications as needed to ensure effectiveness and minimize side effects. This ongoing process aims to improve patients’ mental health and overall well-being.
All MATC providers are able to bill insurance providers and are “In Network Providers” with Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BCBS) of Illinois and Medicare.
For clients who do not have insurance or who will not be using it to pay for services, MATC will provide a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs.

During your first psychiatric medication management appointment, expect a thorough evaluation by a mental health professional. The session will include a detailed discussion of your medical history, current symptoms, and any previous treatments. You’ll be asked about your mental and physical health, lifestyle, and family history. The clinician will explain potential medication options, their benefits, and possible side effects. You can ask questions and share any concerns. Together, you’ll develop a personalized treatment plan. The appointment will also involve scheduling follow-up visits to monitor your progress and adjust your medication as needed to ensure optimal results.
We accept a variety of insurance plans for psychiatric care to make our services accessible to as many individuals as possible. Unfortunately, we do not offer a sliding scale fee structure at this time. Our goal is to provide high-quality care, and accepting insurance allows us to maintain our standards while helping patients manage costs through their insurance benefits. We encourage you to check with your insurance provider about coverage details and any potential out-of-pocket expenses. If you have questions about your insurance or payment options, our administrative team is available to assist you with the necessary information.
