Ketamine Therapy

KetaFlow Navigating Your Infusions

Getting Started

Ketamine infusion therapy is not suitable for everyone. It is our goal to provide individualized quality care to each patient we serve. Therefore contacting the office for a free consultation to see if ketamine is right for you and to schedule an intake appointment will be your first step.

Intake Appointment

Providers will review your medical and psychiatric history as well as home medications and past treatments to determine whether Ketamine infusion therapy is a suitable plan for you. Once you have been cleared for Ketamine infusion therapy, we will schedule you for 6 infusions over a 2–3-week period. If our providers feel Ketamine infusion therapy is not suitable for you, they will offer you alternative options.

Your First Infusion

Each infusion lasts approximately 45-60 minutes for mental health and 2-3 hours for chronic pain, but you should plan on being here for an additional 30-40 minutes outside of the infusion time. Infusions take place in a calming private room. During the infusion, your vital signs and comfort will be monitored on a continuous basis. Following the completion of the infusion, it will take approximately 30 minutes to be ready for discharge.

Follow-up and Next Steps

The maintenance schedule, often referred to as "booster infusions," varies for each patient, however our staff will evaluate your progress and tailor the maintenance period based on your individual needs. Oral ketamine following your induction series may also be an option for you and can be discussed further with your care team. Continue to nurture yourself and be well.
